Downtown Pompey is a small, independent archive project. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and who it passes through.

The "ask to be credited" form

On the Credited page, you can ask to be credited for an item you're in or made. If you use it, we collect the name and note you type in and send it to our own inbox using Web3Forms, a third-party form-relay service — the site itself has no database or backend to store it in. We only use this to work out who to credit and reply to you if needed.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally — just aggregate counts. Because of that, it doesn't require a cookie consent banner.

Other third-party services this site relies on

• Google Fonts — the site's typeface is loaded from Google's servers, which see the request (including your IP address) the same way any font or image request would.
• Google Sheets — the archive's content (photos, captions, tags) is pulled live from a Google Sheet each time you browse it, so Google also sees that request.

Neither is something we can turn off without changing how the site works, but neither one gets anything from you beyond a standard web request.

What we don't do

No advertising, no selling or sharing data with anyone beyond what's listed above, no account creation, no tracking across other websites.
